The BMW M3 is a high performance version  of BMW’s 3 Series, which was developed by a branch of tuning BMW M3BMW M  models has been derived from E30, E36, E46 and E90/E92/E93 3-series,  and sold with coupé, sedan and convertible body styles. One of the main  reasons for road car production is to validate the BMW M3 for Group A  Touring Car racing.

Other  limited production model (based on evolution models  but featuring  special paint and / or unique interior schemes  commemorating  championship wins) include the Europa, Ravaglia, Cecotto,  and  Europameister.
