Here are some spyshots of the two big American sedans that will compete in the next six months: the Cadillac XTS and the restyled Lincoln MKS. Two similarities between these two cars.
First, a front wheel drive platform pending hypothetical large propulsion in a future far enough away.
Then a presentation to the Los Angeles Auto Show in both cases.
Otherwise, the Cadillac is a real novelty in a style which is an extension of the CTS, while its rival has already almost 4 years. However the recasting of Lincoln should be fairly heavy, both in terms of look that technological level. What power struggle? we'll see.
The two coats premium in the United States rose in 2011 but not at the same speed: small in Lincoln , more open to Cadillac (+ 5.6% to 124,985 units). However, the MKS is down 18.9% over the same period (9824 sales) and STS and DTS stops last spring left a big hole in the Cadillac, the two are news so welcome!
