Official - Opel / Vauxhall Astra GTC OPC 2012

Opel released photos and information on the hottest version of the hot Astra. It is a model Opel Astra GTC OPC (Vauxhall Astra GTC VXR), which makes a serious demand for leadership among sports front-wheel drive vehicles in its class.

The car is powered by a new 2.0-liter engine with forced induction and direct fuel injection. It is four, generating 280 hp and 400 Nm. Coupled with 6-speed manual gearbox drives the front wheels via a limited slip differential.

From the headquarters of Opel says the car is capable of a top speed of 250 km / h, but for now keep secret its acceleration from standstill to 100 km / hour.

Astra GTC OPC uses a special chassis that is setting the Nurburgring. The vehicle is equipped with FlexRide system of Opel, which offers three modes - Normal, Sport and OPC, influencing throttle, steering and suspension. The brake system is supplied by Brembo.
