Ferrari Bike

Ferrari doesn't make motorcycles. At least, not officially... but that fact hasn't stopped a number of custom cycle makers from taking matters into their own hands. Perhaps the most famous Maranello-inspired two-wheeler was made by Arlen Ness, but that one's not all that practical in conception. We would imagine a Ferrari motorcycle to be a truly sporting machine, equally as comfortable on the race track as the street, or, more realistically, being shown off in one's garage. Ferrari seems to agree, as the only cycle ever created that bears an official Ferrari chassis number SF-01M  has true sporting pretensions.

Built by David Kay Engineering and completed in 1995, this one-and-only Ferrari motorcycle sports a DOHC engine displacing 900cc and putting out 105 horsepower at 8,800rpm. The only styling choice we take exception with are the Testarossa-style strakes on either side, but nothing's perfect, right? So, what's the only officially official Ferrari bike worth? We'll find out for sure when the auction ends on the 20th, but the expected price is between 325,000-375,000 Swiss francs, or around $300K in U.S. dollars.

2011 Suzuki GSXR-750

Since the late ‘90s until now, the GSX-R750 has shared a nearly identical platform as it younger sibling the GSX-R600, and the differences between the two with the latest incarnation aren’t much more than a larger bore and stroke. Thus, like its little bother, the Suzuki GSX-R750 now features innovations such as Suzuki’s S-DMS fuel map selector, titanium exhaust, fully adjustable suspension and top-of-the-line radial brake calipers. And while Suzuki in now one of the only 750cc Inline-Four sportbike producers left, judging by its strong sales numbers and cult-like following, it surprising more don’t follow suit.sxr 750cc, 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine is carefully designed with Suzuki's cutting-edge technology for ultra-compactness, lightweight, high revving and power delivery. 70mm x 48.7mm of bore/stroke and 76mm cylinder pitch help keep the engine narrow and lightweight. High-revving valvet rain features titanium valves, and narrow valve angles allowing a high 12.5:1 of compression ratio.

Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel injection system helps deliver a more seamless and linear response, superior combustion efficiency, sufficient low-rpm torque and reduced emissions. Secondary fuel injector in each throttle body comes into action under high-rpm, heavy-load conditions to increase engine output on the racetrack. Secondary balancer shaft reduces secondary vibration at high rpm. Close-ratio 6-speed transmission. Back-torque limiting clutch help make quick downshifts smoother, especially on the racetrack.

2012 Suzuki Hayabusa

Today, Suzuki Motorcycle India launched two superbikes in new Delhi, India. The Suzuki Hayabusa is an iconic superbike, made famous in India by the improbable stunts in the movie Dhoom. The movie was a horror, the stunts were worse, but India came to know about that Hayabusa as the ultimate motorcycle to own.

The Suzuki Hayabusa (earlier called GSXR1300 in some markets) has a 1340 cc engine churning out 194 bhp that can propel it to 60 MPH in 2.6 seconds! Note that that’s miles, not kilometers. That would be 96.5 kilometers per hour in 2.6 seconds! Top speed is an electronically restricted 299 kmph.

The Suzuki Intruder M1800R is a 1783cc V-twin cruiser, DOHC, 54 degree, liquid-cooled, fuel injected V-twin engine designed for strong throttle response and quick acceleration. Maximum power produced is 125bhp @6,200 rpm and maximum torque: 160Nm @3,200 rpm. The M1800R intruder features a final shaft drive instead of a chain.
Introduced in 1999, the Suzuki Hayabusa is the fastest, most powerful production sportbike motorcycle available today. Named after a swift flying falcon, the original Hayabusa was capable of reaching a speed of almost 200 mph. It was designed to compete directly against the now defunct Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12 and now ZX-14 motorcycles.
